Venues with gorgeous landscapes make pretty photograph backgrounds for your wedding pictures. When hunting for such venues in Ontario and the near Toronto area many spots are available. Some of them require a permit and other do not require one.
The Kariya Park in Mississauga, Ontario is a lovely Japanese park. If you plan to take wedding photographs there on a Friday through Sunday afternoon reservations are required and a $70.00 fee for a park permit. The permit gives you the right to 90 minutes to take photos. This is for group photos. There are several types of Japanese gardens in the park including a pond and hill garden and a garden for strolling that has picturesque shrubbery, rocks, and flowerbeds.
The Oakes Garden Theatre at Niagara Falls in Ontario is a spectacular park in Beaux Arts. The theatre is a wonderful Greco-Roman amphitheatre with fountains, and bas-relief sculptures. This panorama includes the Rainbow Gardens, which is designed in Art Deco and the Queen Victoria Park, which is an English formal garden. No permit is required to take wedding photos. An enchanting carriage ride through the Queen Victoria Park would be quite romantic and imagine having pictures taken while seated in the horse carriage.
The Botanical Gardens Willow Pond is a beautiful spot for a wedding and the photos. It is a lovely natural setting. The Floral Showhouse Gardens and Tropical foyer is encased in tall grasses and charming ponds and the falls sing sweetly in the background. The Laura Secord Monument in Queenston Heights Park is a historic setting for wedding photographs. It is located with an exciting view of Lower Niagara River. Another perfect spot for wedding photos is the Mather Arch Park. Its home is in the historical Fort Erie, Ontario. At seventy-five acres it is one of their biggest sites. It used to be a section of the military Ordnance Reserve. The park was dedicated to Christian Menn, a Swiss bridge architect was the designer of the International Peace Bridge. This bridge, which is part of the park, connects the Canadian and American sides of Niagara Falls.
Niagara Parks’ Botanical Gardens has a fairy tale wedding arbor with a backdrop of Victorian-styled latticework in white that is picture perfect for some of your wedding photos and wedding. It is a secluded area. The Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens is one hundred acres of amazingly gorgeous manicured gardens with arbora that have wowed people for sixty years. Taking wedding photos doesn’t require a permit, but photos can’t be shot inside of the Butterfly Conservatory. It is located in Ontario on the north side of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.
All of the Niagara Park locations have schedule times of two hours for weddings. Wedding photos shot outside do not require a permit, but to take wedding photos in the Niagara Parks Floral Showhouse Tropical Foyer for an hour requires a rental fee. The parks do not give bookings for outdoor wedding photography all of the sites have restrictions when weddings are taking place.
Chinguacousy Park doesn’t require a permit for outdoor photos, but the pretty greenhouse has to be booked. There is a Chapel, which has seating for thirty people on the premises. It is located in Brampton, Ontario.
The McMichael Grounds overlooks the East Humber River Valley and embraces one hundred acres and there is a gallery. Two hour permits can be obtained, but picture taking isn’t permitted after 5:00 pm. This charming venue is located in Kleinburg, Ontario.
The Kitchner Horticultural Society is associated with Rockway Gardens in Kitchener, Ontario. The perfectly landscaped park doesn’t require a photo permit. The park has a beautiful fountain and a spot for the flying of Canadian flags. There is bridge going over a quaint pretty pond.
Sunneyside park that lies by lake Ontario features beaches, a boardwalk, and lovely woods. Permits are required. It sits between Etobicoke and Toronto. Romantic beach wedding photos or storybook woodsy wedding photos can be captured there.
The Royal Botanical Gardens has facilities for the wedding and reception. A colorful backdrop of flowers blooming presents the perfect scenery for wedding photos. The gardens are open from April to October. There is a charge for wedding photography. The Royal botanical Gardens location is in Burlington, Ontario.
Guild Inn Gardens located in Scarborough, Ontario, sits on Scarborough Bluffs in the midst of ninety acres of wooded trails, gardens, manicured lawns, and forest. The historic architecture and sculpture is very impressive. Permits are required and they last for tow hours.
The North York Rose Garden is in North York, Ontario. It costs $12.25 an hour for photo permits. Your photo time should be booked no later than two weeks ahead.
Gairloch Gardens situated in Ontario includes an art gallery and sits by Lake Ontario and is landscaped with rose gardens, a Tudor home, and pretty trees. The name means short lake in Gaelic. You can take great lake view wedding pictures. No permit is required.
